Pain & Boldness

By: Pastor Mike Matthews

When we trust Christ in the midst of pain and trial, it empowers others to be bold for Jesus.

Paul was in prison for Jesus. Chained and wrenched up on a wall. How did fellow Christians respond? Run away, right?

Nope! They grew bold as they saw Paul remaining faithful in the middle of his imprisonment.

Purpose is born out of pain. There’s no greater purpose than that of someone using their pain to advance the cause of Christ.

Hell forces shake at this. They think, “What can we do to this human to shut him up about Jesus?!”

Will disability do it? Will unemployment do it? Will rejection do it?

Prove them wrong. No matter what you face, face it with joy in Christ. Fight for it. Your joy fighting will be contagious and others will fight more in their life and this glorifies Jesus.

Limp for Jesus. Limp loved.

Prayer-

Lord, following you includes pain and boldness. May we learn how to limp for you in this broken world. Remind us we are limping but limping loved in your Name. Amen!
